The standard toroidal
power transformer range is suitable for all normal transformer
applications and covers a range of power outputs from 1VA upto
10KVA when operated from a 50Hz power supply. Transformers can
also be supplied for use on 60Hz and 400 Hz supplies.
SIGA transformers are designed and manufactured to optimise the inherent benefits of the toroidal type of construction resulting in increased efficiency and reliability and reduced core losses and radiated field. The range of core sizes available allows the designer greater scope to meet the customers's dimensional requirements.
SIGA transformers can also be supplied complying with the requirements
of a number of international standards- typically EN60742, VDE0550,
VDE0551, UL1411, UL506 and EN60601.
The standard covering is a clear polyester tape finish, which is
suitable for most protected indoor environments. For humid conditions
protection against moisture can be achieved with vacuum varnish
impregnation and if necessary the application of one or more coats of
the enveloping varnish.
The winding termination are normally flying leads, either sleeved self
leads or insulated flex leads depending upon the transformer and the
gauge of the winding wire.

finish, and will be pleased to discuss any special requirements.
